"तू जब पास होता है, सब सही लगता है-even our madness."
When you're near, everything feels right-even our chaos.

Hospital Corridor :
Jyoti turned the hospital corridor with practiced confidence-until she slammed right into someone, sending files and coffee flying like dramatic slow-mo confetti.
"Uff! I'm so sorry-" she looked up and froze.
The man she'd just bumped into also blinked in recognition.
"Aap?!" they both said in sync, horror on their faces.
Jyoti's jaw dropped. "Aap yahaan?! Aap woh hi ho na-mall wale coffee criminal?!"
Vijay narrowed his eyes. "Main coffee criminal? Tumne toh poori tray gira di thi mujh par! Main toh line mein tha!"
Flashback hit both of them instantly:
2 Months Ago, Patna Central Mall
The food court was buzzing with weekend chaos. Jyoti, balancing two overloaded trays of fries and burgers, was weaving through tables like it was an obstacle course on a reality show.
"Excuse me, bhaiya-ek side hona please! Fries emergency hai!" she shouted, dodging a toddler and nearly crashing into a juice stall.
Meanwhile, Vijay stood in the coffee queue, looking straight-laced and irritated by the crowd. He had just gotten his large cappuccino and was about to walk away when-BAM-a tray came flying.
"Ufff!" he gasped, hot coffee spilling all over his shirt.
"Oh no! Sorry sorry sorry!" Jyoti shrieked, looking genuinely horrified but also clearly trying not to laugh.
Vijay glared. "What the hell?! Can you even walk straight?"
Jyoti, scandalized, shot back: "Excuse me?! Aap khud statue banke middle mein khade the! Kaun line mein hota hai table ke beech?!"
"I was waiting for my friend," Vijay growled,
dabbing his shirt with tissues. "You were running like you're in a potato sack race!"
Jyoti crossed her arms. "Drama mat karo, thoda hi coffee gira tha. Shirt thodi pighal jaayegi."
He looked her up and down. "I'm surprised you're allowed out without adult supervision."
She gasped. "How dare you! I'm a medical student!"
He smirked. "Figures. Hopefully not a surgeon-your hand-eye coordination is a crime."
Jyoti gave a fake smile. "And I hope you are not a therapist. You're clearly allergic to patience."
Before he could snap back, her phone rang.
"Haan Unnati, aa rahi hoon. Haan, ek grumpy uncle pe coffee gira diya maine by mistake......nahi nahi jaan ke thodi kiya, itna gussa kar rahe hain jaise meri coffee se unka character damage ho gaya ho!"
Vijay blinked. "Uncle?!"
"Bye!" she said sweetly and dashed off.
Vijay stood frozen in the coffee puddle, muttering, "Unbelievable. Uncle, huh?"
Back to Present Day - Hospital Corridor
And now... here they were. Intern. Mentor. Destiny's prank.
They both blinked at each other, the memory crashing in like a train.
"Toh aap woh hi ho-Grumpy Uncle!" Jyoti burst out before slapping a hand over her mouth.
Vijay narrowed his eyes. "And you're Miss Coffee Attack. Great. My fate is sealed."
Vijay crossed his arms. "So... you're the intern."
Jyoti groaned, mostly to herself. "Bas yehi baaki tha. Universe ne full comedy likh rakhi hai mere liye."
She gave a nervous chuckle. "Well... destiny works in mysterious, caffeine-soaked ways."
"I expect professionalism," Vijay said flatly, ignoring her dramatics. "Not chaos."
Jyoti nodded, then added under her breath, "Sirf aapko coffee chahiye hoti toh main Starbucks recommend karti... OT mein revenge mat lena please."
He didn't reply, but one eyebrow twitched upward.
Just then, a ward boy slipped on the spilled coffee nearby and let out a cartoonish "Ayyy!" before landing with a thud.
Jyoti winced. "Ye toh mujhe bhi nahi socha tha... collateral damage ho gaya."
Vijay sighed and called out, "Someone get a mop here!"
He shook his head. "You have two minutes to report to the OT. If you spill anything again-even words-I'll have you rotated to pathology."
"Sir, I promise no more accidents. Just... don't give me coffee duty."
He walked off.
Jyoti leaned toward the nurse and whispered, "Bhai, yeh sir serious hote hain ya inka face hi permanent 'I hate interns' mode mein rehta hai?"
She sighed, turning to the nurse. "Lagta hai iss internship mein ya toh main brain surgeon banungi ya mental patient."
The nurse chuckled. "You'll see. Dr. Kushwaha is like black coffee-kadwa at first, but thoda strong ho toh addictive ban jaata hai."
Jyoti rolled her eyes. "Toh mujhe chai hi acchi hai."
She looked back at Vijay's retreating figure.
Great. First impression? Total disaster. And he's going to be my boss. Waah, internship ki shubh shuruaat.
